We coloured the music video for DZ Deathrays’ latest, ‘Gina Works At Hearts’, the second single off their forthcoming album ‘Black Rat’. Directed and shot by Noel Smyth, you can view the clip here. Additionally, the extremely talented animation director and illustrator Celeste Potter from our sister company XYZ Studios designed the artwork for the single, which made it into their official audio youtube video! Last year we worked with the extremely talented Eddy Bell from Melbourne production company Mr Smith on his latest short film ‘Grey Bull’. Produced by Khoby Rowe and shot by Callan Green, coloured in-house at Crayon. Keep an eye on the 2014 festival circuit for this beautiful project!

December 18, 2013. Crayon graded Short ‘Splendr’ wins Best Film at Swinburne Film & TV Graduate screening

We were thrilled to attend the Swinburne Film and TV Graduate Screening and Awards Ceremony on Monday night at ACMI for a brilliant showcase of final year projects. A huge congratulations to Al Moore, Lena Moon and the team behind the film ‘Splendr’ for taking away Best Script and Best Film. Our very own Daniel Stonehouse coloured the piece – check out some stills below!

Congratulations also to the crew behind ‘Rhododendron’ who took out the award for Creative Excellence, sponsored by us. We can’t wait to work with director Lewis Attey and his team in the new year!
